Vintage Mustangs need many updates to be safe and road worthy cars again. Seat
belts may be the most important and overlooked of all, but Dallas Mustang can get
you connected again. Simply send us your belts, and
our craftsmen will bring them back to like-new condition
- with new webbing, correct stitching patterns,
and fully restored hardware. We can even re-web
and recolor to compliment any interior color.
Once received, your seatbelts are completely disassembled
and all old webbing is cut away. Stamped
metal pieces are cleaned and treated to remove corrosion.
Chromed stamping are polished or re-plated
if necessary. Plastic boots are cleaned, heated by
hand and reformed as close to original contours as
possible, then colored to match your specifications.
We can even remove and resew good condition
labels to maintain correct date coding!

yards across the country to find seatbelt sets
and hardware for us to restore...and pass along to

Specifications: Firsts
- Fully reconditioned original equipment (o.e.) assemblies
available in both "standard" and "deluxe"
- Core charges can apply. Please call and ask for details.
- Tongues and anchors are new stampings, or original
pieces restored to as-new quality
- Belts are 100% o.e. nylon webbing with accurate weave
pattern (three or four bar), colors, and correct stitching
patterns
- Release/latch assemblies are original pieces restored to
as-new quality (i.e. disassembled, inspected, cleaned,
painted, plated and reassembled)
- Original (core) parts are always used if possible. If
replacements parts are required, original vintage parts
are used whenever available. New (or n.o.s.) parts are
used only if necessary and otherwise unavailable.
- All new parts are o.e. material types: chrome plated
steel, stainless steel, clear/yellow zinc coating, etc.
- Date matching: Best efforts are made to date match seat
belt sets (as indicated by the o.e. stamp on the underside
of the latch/release assembly) to the vehicle model
year or era
- Matching shoulder strap assemblies can be provided,
subject to core availability
- Core exchanges / charges are required
- Non-standard orders will require an extra 5 to 7 days and
include the following.
- Color changes to retractors, boots, latches, etc.
- The addition of shoulder belts
- Required use of customer’s actual core/assemblies.

Specifications: Seconds
- Fully reconditioned and functional seat belt assemblies
- Economical option to vintage equipment
- Typically bought in 'lot' purchases
- May be Ford brand, other brand, or off-brand manufacture
- Best efforts made to source similar materials, design,
construction, color, etc.
Notes:
- "Firsts" and "Seconds" are not 'quality' statements. Both
are top quality products. The names refer to which is the
preferred - or most accurate - type of product to install in
a vintage Mustang
- "Firsts" are original equipment type materials and construction.
These may not meet modern D.O.T. regulations.
This is not a problem on vintage vehicles, but may
be a concern on modern 'kit' cars, re-titled vehicles, etc.
- "Seconds" are modern assemblies which do meet most
if not all modern D.O.T. regulations
- New install kits and/or hardware is sold separately.
