Is this a stock replacement? I read on another vendor page that the Scott Drake unit is a six quart, deeper and the stock oil pickup won't work with it. Is a Scott Drake part? I am placing the order today, so let me know tomorrow if I need to order a longer oil pickup and another quart of oil.

This oil pan is slightly deeper than original and requires approximately 6 quarts to fill. The increased oil capacity helps the engine run cooler and can extend oil change intervals. Note: On 64-65 Mustangs with power steering this deeper pan will rub the power steering center link. This can be corrected by either running the taller and stronger 66 engine mounts or by simply adding a ¼” shim of washers to 1965 motor mounts to lift engine up. Also, feel free to call us at 1-800-Mustang for any further questions!

One more question, is this pan painted the stock Ford Blue? this picture looks a bit lighter than Ford Blue.

Currently the ones we have in stock are a dark blue, we have had the manufacturer also send them in all colors of blue, so right now we have a dark blue. Also, if you have any more questions please feel free to call us at 1-800-MUSTANG
