I have new Monroe gas-charged shocks on my 65 Mustang six now...and they cause the car to wander...even after I purchased/installed a rear sway bar! After much research I am certain it is the gas-charge causing the shocks to push up on the vehicle as it travels over dips (not bumps) making it drift/walk. If it takes 50 to 75 pounds to compress a shock then that push-up (100/150 lbs. per pair) becomes part of the suspension and on a very light car (2600 lbs.) it gives the feeling of vagueness between the car and road. This car was not designed for gas shocks but old-fashioned hydraulic ones...but I can't find any and I am definitely not alone.. Does DM carry regular shocks or have a solution?

We recommend the KYB GR2 low gas kit, the set of four are sold under our part number 6050. They are comparable to a heavy duty hydraulic shock. Thank you.
